There seems to be a growing culture in graphic design based around the poster and I would love to provide the community with a forum to display/sell/purchase all this beautiful work.

Let me know if you`ve got any name ideas...I feel like every idea I come up with is already owned by some domain name squatter. Sucks...Flag as Inappropriate

A4S4L4(1048 Days ago)so i actually didn`t read through all that till after i posted it...turns out, my photographer friend, brian willette (the guy i met on the street, who i hung out with for awhile, and then he disappeared) is apparently involved with the contest in some way...
...maybe he can make you win!

jslsurf(327 Days ago)Try WordPress.com for a free site that you can build in a couple of hours with no prior experience. There are tons of free plug-in for shopping carts, layouts, etc. For a paid site with your own domain name, (i.e.: posters.com as opposed to posters.wordpress.com), use WordPress.org.

Naming is hugely important and worth spending the time to do it right. According to Steve Cranfird, ther are 4 levels if names: 1 declarative, 2 descriptive, 3 clever and 4 evocative. You want to be closer to 4 evocative. Exs: 1 dog grooming. 2. Cheap Dog Grooming, or Elite Dog Grooming. 3. Bitches and Hose, or Shampooch. 4 Lassy. Best examples of evocative names: Virgin and Amazon. They don`t even say what the product or service is. Virgin sells music, mobile phone service and flights to London. Amazon sells everything. The names evoke emotions, and are plays on words. Virgin ears, virgin territory, losing your virginity (a possible by-product of music, phone calls and travel). Amazon is the largest watershed by volume, the largest flow of water.

Try some names that DON`T have any of these words in them: posters, art, wall, graphics, gallery.Flag as Inappropriate
