Someday I'm going to:
Learn to Scuba Dive by: suko
I`ve got a bunch of friends that do this and they never stop talking about how amazing it is. Honestly, I`m just tired of not being included in the stories.

jslsurf(765 Days ago)I have an advanced open water certification from PADI, and my dad has his dive master C card. ("C-card" cool slang for certification). I reccomend getting your certification before your go on vacation, if possible, because once you get to your diving paradise, you don`t want to be spending time in the classroom and performing drills in the pool. Also, try snorkling for a cheap and easy underwater fix. Most of my very best underwater stories all happened while I was snorkling. Even after I learned to SCUBA, I still loved to free-dive whenever I had the chance. Alternate suggestion: take a "resort course" at the hotel. This is a one day crash course, which ends with you going on your first open water dive. The pros it`s cheap, so if you discover you`re not into SCUBA, or afraid of the water, you haven`t invested a ton of time and money. Also, it`s the fastest way to have a diving experience. The cons the resort certification expires in a year.and it`s only good when you go out with a dive master from the resort or hotel where you got it (so you won`t be playing Honey Rider opposite James Bond on a private beach).Flag as Inappropriate

suko(582 Days ago)Thanks for the advice. I missed this comment but wanted to be sure I responded. This is really helpful and I plan to tackle my certification before I head to the open water.Flag as Inappropriate

What is mySomeday.com Close
mySomeday is designed to help you achieve those goals and dreams you’ve always said you’d get to ‘Someday’. It was born from a universal truth; everyone has ‘somedays’ they want to realize. It was designed to address a universal reality; life, laziness or lack of know-how makes achievement elusive. ‘Plans’ are meant to address this gap between truth and reality. Whether you build your own original Plan or copy and customize an existing Expert or Community Plan, this detailed roadmap is meant to get you from start to finish. With a Plan, you can track your progress, set reminders and deadlines, get feedback from the community and much more. In addition to Plans, we hope that all of the elements of the site and the social connections that spring up will take people from idea, to plan, to partnership, and, ultimately, to achievement.
