time to purge! get rid of anything you know you will never wear again, haven’t worn for two years, or does not match your personal style goal. anything faded, torn, or covered in pilling should be the first to go. be sure to donate items that can still be worn to a local charity. take note of wardrobe staples you have, and those you need to add or replace.
    Step 1: Clean out your closet.

    Time to purge! Get rid of anything you know you will never wear again, haven’t worn for two years, or does not match your personal style goal. your appearance can be a reflection of your attitude. if you were to be honest with yourself, you’d probably like to look the best you can, all the time. clothes do not make the person, but you often become what you wear and the image you reflect. if you appear to be dated in your image, people might assume your ideas and mindset are dated as well. do you know what perception people have of you? while this can be hard to visualize, it’s significant in understanding what changes need to be made. you might realize you’ve been neglecting this aspect of yourself or you might realize you have been living in a time capsule; still holding on to styles of the past that once looked fantastic and now look passé.
    Step 2: Portray an image that complements who you are.
