I made an EP in 2003, but it was pretty much thrown together with stuff that I happened to have recorded. I`m not very happy with it. I want to make a well put-together full-length album that I can be proud of.

JoeSomebody2(703 Days ago)I`ve always found that working towards a specific goal, rather than creating for the heck of it, tended to slow me down in terms of that goal. Strange, isn`t it? Hopefully the same isn`t happening to you, and you aren`t second guessing yourself all the time over a song that isn`t "good enough" for the album. Perhaps a focus on the fun creative process would be a better nudge in the right direction? Just an idea, and may not apply at all, but it`s what I got. ;)Flag as Inappropriate

lulu(701 Days ago)thanks for your insight... you have a good point. luckily though i have most of the songs i would put on the album already... i`m not driving myself nuts about whether songs are good enough. my main problem is following through with working out accompaniment. and then there is the mountain of the recording process. but yeah. focusing on the FUN is a great way to approach this!Flag as Inappropriate
