  • img_ shoot across to venice. get away from `tourist hotspots` to get a better sense of the daily life. update: found a great spot where locals eat called macladera. ordered fresh spaghetti with clams, mussels and shrimp and grilled sea breem. we left feeling that this was the best meal so far. the next day we walked over the rialto bridge to the rialto fish/veggie/fruit market. the nectarines and cherries bursted with flavor. then we totally stumbled upon a bacaro in san polo where we sampled the bruschetta, one with fresh cherry tomatoes and the other with a spicy roasted red pepper spread. last but certainly not least, we arrived at a cantina in the dosodurro neighborhoood and had various bruschetta that blew us away. we didn`t want to leave or should i say the owner of the cantina didn`t want elle to leave, i think he was fine with me leaving.

  • img_ stroll around siena. update: after taking a meal in the main piazza, we strolled around the city and came across an entryway with long red streamers. we poked our heads inside and it turned out to be a wine/cheese/meat shop where antonio, the owner, insisted that we stay. he proceeded to pour us each 4 glasses of wine paired with various meats/cheeses and we proceeded to buy many things from him. not sure who got the better deal but we left slighty tipsy and full-bellied, just the way you should feel after a good italian meal.

  • img_visit val d`orcia in southern tuscany. update: we found an incredible bed and breakfast just outside pienza called `le traverse` run by pinucchia, an authentic and charming italian grandmother. its situated on the stunning slopes and is a working farm with olive trees, vineyards, hard wheat and fruit trees. she proceeded to cook us homemade breakfast pies each morning along with her homemade preserves. she makes it a point to mix it up so that you don`t get the same pie twice. and they were all simply delicious.

A4S4L4(930 Days ago)Is that picture attached to Step 6 really where you stayed? Regardless, I think I`d like to live there for the rest of my life.
The food descriptions are making me drool. I could eat Italian food every day.
Sounds like you had an incredible time!

Almost every meal was delicious. You should go and never come back.

jslsurf(765 Days ago)I went to Villa Trimeste, directly across the lake from Bellagio, for my honeymoon. We spent most of our days sitting on the balcony of our hotel room, eating cherries and drinking mineral water and loving the view. We were supremely relaxed by the time we left. Then we had to drive through Milan, and it kinda wiped all that serrenity right off our faces.Flag as Inappropriate

What is mySomeday.com Close
mySomeday is designed to help you achieve those goals and dreams you’ve always said you’d get to ‘Someday’. It was born from a universal truth; everyone has ‘somedays’ they want to realize. It was designed to address a universal reality; life, laziness or lack of know-how makes achievement elusive. ‘Plans’ are meant to address this gap between truth and reality. Whether you build your own original Plan or copy and customize an existing Expert or Community Plan, this detailed roadmap is meant to get you from start to finish. With a Plan, you can track your progress, set reminders and deadlines, get feedback from the community and much more. In addition to Plans, we hope that all of the elements of the site and the social connections that spring up will take people from idea, to plan, to partnership, and, ultimately, to achievement.
