I took 5 years of Spanish. I lived in a Spanish speaking country for a month. My mom is a Spanish teacher. I am half-Spanish. And yet somehow, my Spanish speaking skills can barely translate the average Mexican restaurant menu.

globehound(1172 Days ago)I am on a quest to FINALLY. LEARN. ITALIAN. I think I`m going to take the plunge and get one of the top-rated computer programs. I`ve done a bit of research and it seems that Tell Me More, Rosetta Stone and Instant Immersion are the best programs. I`ll let you know if and when I actually make a purchase. I wish I had work-subsidized language programs...hey wait, maybe I do. I should look into this.Flag as Inappropriate

kathryn10(1074 Days ago)Don`t feel bad! I have a Bachelor`s Degree in Spanish and spent a month in Costa Rica and still can`t seem to master it! The saying "if you don`t use it, you lose it" definitely rings true when it comes to Spanish. Keep practicing and best of luck in acheiving your goal!Flag as Inappropriate
