Plan a Trip to India Plan a Trip to India
'A Conversation with rachelsterne.'
Rachelsterne always dreamed of traveling to India to experience a mix of culture like no other. With a great Plan and a sense of adventure, she made it happen.MSD: What made you decide to do this?
RACHELSTERNE: I`ve always been drawn to India. I am fascinated by the culture, the delicious foods, the ornate arts, and the rich history of an incredible people. And I truly fell in love with India through my study of yoga over the past six years. So when my boyfriend told me he was traveling to Bangalore for a business trip, we decided to plan a trip around his work visit to see more of the country.

MSD: Did you find any of the Steps particularly challenging? If so, how did you overcome the obstacle(s)?
RACHELSTERNE: The most challenging step for me was planning the itinerary. India is an enormous country, with an overwhelming number of places to see, so it was difficult deciding as an outside what exactly to do. We had nearly 3 weeks for travel, which is very little relative to the scope of the country. Ultimately we turned to experts to plan our trip, working with the wonderful team at Incent Tours to plan a trip to Agra, Jaipur, Samode and Goa.

MSD: Any general advice or tips you`d like to share?
RACHELSTERNE: Absolutely. I still see this inaugural trip to India as a test-run. My suggestion is to immerse yourself completely in India`s energy: get lost walking down a side street, try a new food, avoid tourists and try to live like the locals. Take the train or rent a motorcycle instead of going around with other tourists in a bus or chauffeured car. For women, I think it`s important to respect local values and dress modestly and conservatively. And of course, as in any city, use common sense and follow your intuition if you feel unsafe.

MSD: What`s the next Someday you plan to make a reality?
RACHELSTERNE: My next Someday is a bit less far-flung, but perhaps even more challenging: I`d like to train to do a Forearm Stand, a tricky yoga pose, by the end of the year. I`ve gotten pretty close over the past few months, so I hope that by focusing on this goal I can make it a reality.

What is mySomeday.com Close
mySomeday is designed to help you achieve those goals and dreams you’ve always said you’d get to ‘Someday’. It was born from a universal truth; everyone has ‘somedays’ they want to realize. It was designed to address a universal reality; life, laziness or lack of know-how makes achievement elusive. ‘Plans’ are meant to address this gap between truth and reality. Whether you build your own original Plan or copy and customize an existing Expert or Community Plan, this detailed roadmap is meant to get you from start to finish. With a Plan, you can track your progress, set reminders and deadlines, get feedback from the community and much more. In addition to Plans, we hope that all of the elements of the site and the social connections that spring up will take people from idea, to plan, to partnership, and, ultimately, to achievement.
