A Conversation with Niki.
Trying to lose weight in 2010? Niki reached her `uh-oh` point and decided it was time to figure out a way to get comfortable with her body again. Mixing an activity and a routine she made it happen. Bravo!MSD: What made you decide to do this?
NIKI: I decided to do this because I wasn`t happy with my body. I was always self conscious and didn`t even bother going to the beach this past summer because I didn`t like how my body looked in a bathing suit. During college, I had gained the infamous freshman fifteen and was never able to lose it until one day, I hopped on the scale and realized I was two pounds more than my pre-determined "uh-oh" weight. I knew it was time to do some damage control. I wanted to look good and feel good about myself for a change.

MSD: Did you find any of the Steps particularly challenging? If so, how did you overcome the obstacle(s)?
NIKI: I think the hardest step for me was getting into a routine. For starters, I can`t commit to anything for the life of me because I`ve always got something going on. If it`s not one thing, it`s another or I`m just too tired. I over came this obstacle by joining a Wednesday night co-ed softball team. Then I started doing a 2 mile hike with a friend about once or twice a week. I think what helped me overcome my obstacle of commitment was the sense of competition. I enjoy the adrenaline and excitement of trying to keep up with my friends.

MSD: Any general advice or tips you`d like to share?
NIKI: The best advice I have is to definitely find a work out partner to keep you motivated. Secondly, I`d recommend getting involved with a sport of some kind or at least take a fitness class once a week.

MSD: What`s the next Someday you plan to make a reality?
NIKI: My next someday is to start making money off of a Website I`m working on. I`m not quite there yet, but SOMEDAY I will be!

What is mySomeday.com Close
mySomeday is designed to help you achieve those goals and dreams you’ve always said you’d get to ‘Someday’. It was born from a universal truth; everyone has ‘somedays’ they want to realize. It was designed to address a universal reality; life, laziness or lack of know-how makes achievement elusive. ‘Plans’ are meant to address this gap between truth and reality. Whether you build your own original Plan or copy and customize an existing Expert or Community Plan, this detailed roadmap is meant to get you from start to finish. With a Plan, you can track your progress, set reminders and deadlines, get feedback from the community and much more. In addition to Plans, we hope that all of the elements of the site and the social connections that spring up will take people from idea, to plan, to partnership, and, ultimately, to achievement.
