Someday I'm going to:
live debt free. by: Foster
Given the present economic status birthed by the debt-culture of the (North) American dream, coupled with my experiences in Africa, I`ve come to believe, with wise council, that living inside one`s means is the best way to live.
This is my plan | 100%

  • img_the first step, is to pay off my debts. i accrued quite a bit during my four-month stay in africa, and the impetus to spend at least one year a abroad teaching was at least in part to dissolve my debts, mostly credit card.
this has varying degrees of difficulty depending on one`s spending habits, social pressures, level of debt, and countless other factors that go into this issue as a whole, but it has to be something that is decided and acted upon.

of course, if you`ve successfully completed step one, much of this has been accomplished already.

  • img_step 3: finally, i would like to establish a behavior and character that is generous, giving, and prepared, which means treating money less like a treasure and more like a tool; one that i can share at a moment`s notice with people when needed, and have safely stored for my own emergencies. this would require consistent monitoring of finances. it would mean establishing a guiding budget for living, giving, and saving coupled with the capacity and freedom to adapt as necessary, focusing less on the transient luxuries and unnecessary expenditures and focusing more on the needs of friends and family.

What is mySomeday.com Close
mySomeday is designed to help you achieve those goals and dreams you’ve always said you’d get to ‘Someday’. It was born from a universal truth; everyone has ‘somedays’ they want to realize. It was designed to address a universal reality; life, laziness or lack of know-how makes achievement elusive. ‘Plans’ are meant to address this gap between truth and reality. Whether you build your own original Plan or copy and customize an existing Expert or Community Plan, this detailed roadmap is meant to get you from start to finish. With a Plan, you can track your progress, set reminders and deadlines, get feedback from the community and much more. In addition to Plans, we hope that all of the elements of the site and the social connections that spring up will take people from idea, to plan, to partnership, and, ultimately, to achievement.
